Rants-n-Stuff
Well unless you're living under a rock, today is the sixth day of the sixth month, of the sixth year (well...the two-thousandth and sixth year anyway) and you know what that means?! I still can't believe that they remade one of the best cinematic masterpieces of all times, The Omen and strategically decided to release it today. This whole fad of Hollywood remaking movies has got to stop...Seriously! I just read that they're remaking the 1984 classic, Revenge Of The Nerds too... Dare I ask, what's next?
So I'm glad to see that Gnarls Barkley is all over the radio and MTV now , but folks...there's MUCH more to the album than just the track, Crazy. I strongly suggest checking out the album as a whole because it really does seem to have a little something for everyone's palate (sorta like the buffet at the Golden Corral). I have had a few requests via email to post it, but eh...it's easy enough to find if you know where to look(and no, I'm going to tell you where to look either, scrub).
If you dig the electronic music stylings of the legendary German band Kraftwerk, you may want to check out this dex of albums, but be advised that it is wicked s-l-o-w, but alas everything is there (except for their live performances) and there's some other cool shit in the parent directory as well.
In sad news, musician Billy Preston died earlier today at the age of 59. He had been in a coma since November and was rushed to a hospital on Saturday after his condition deteriorated. He's probably best known for penning Joe Cocker's hit You Are So Beautiful as well as lending his gospel influenced keyboarding to the Beatles as well as the Rolling Stones. RIP Mr Preston.
And lastly, I'm going to be off the radar for a few days as I take a little diversion up to New York, but fret not peeps, as Sly Hoax will be at the helm serving up his unmistakable brand of goodness.
Take care folks and I'll see ya in a week!!!
God, I hate flying....
